Kosmos 2477 (Russian: Космос 2477 meaning Cosmos 2477) is one of a set of three Russian military satellites launched in 2011 as part of the GLONASS satellite navigation system.
[1][5] Kosmos 2475/6/7 were launched from Site 81/24 at Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
A Proton-M carrier rocket with a Briz-M upper stage was used to perform the launch which took place at 16:51 UTC on 4 November 2011.
[6] The launch successfully placed the satellites into Medium Earth orbit.
The United States Space Command assigned it the Satellite Catalog Number 37868.
