Krasny Bor (Russian: Кра́сный Бор) is an urban locality (an urban-type settlement) in Tosnensky District of Leningrad Oblast, Russia, located 20 kilometers (12 mi) southeast of the center of St. Petersburg.
[10][11] On August 1, 1927, the uyezds were abolished and Kolpinsky District, with the administrative center in the town of Kolpino, was established.
[2] During World War II, Krasny Bor was occupied by German troops.
[13] The Krasny Bor transmitter, a large facility for AM broadcasting, is located in the settlement.
[14] Krasny Bor is essentially a suburb of Saint Petersburg and is included into the transport infrastructure of the city.
