[19][20] According to the director Prof. Ariyaratne, he had an idea to make the film with the first copy gave by writer Simon Navagattegama on August 27, 1989.

[7][22] However, budget for the film was around 600 million and shooting completed within 45 days in and around Ranminithenna Tele Cinema village.
