[3] LaGrange Township is located just northwest of the center of Cass County.

The village of Cassopolis, the Cass County seat, is in the southeast part of the township.

[4] As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 3,340 people, 1,351 households, and 909 families residing in the township.

There were 1,607 housing units at an average density of 47.9 per square mile (18.5/km2).

28.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
