La Curandera

La Curandera is an opera composed by Robert Xavier Rodriguez to a primarily English libretto by Mary Medrick.

So it was designed with a variety of moveable parts that helped the scenic changes and it looked like a traditional Mexican dwelling, a hotel and an airport to support the locations for each scene and act.

The production used three dimensional scenic elements as well projections to set the locations.

Dr. Bautista was mentored by Dr. Forrest Newlin, a well known designer in the Midwest and Southeast part of the United States.
