Clara Amely “Lala” Ryckoff (2 August 1878 - 3 December 1977) was an American composer who wrote more than 200 vocal works (both text and music), including spoken word performances with musical accompaniment, also known as pianologues or musical readings.
She first performed as a pianist in Chicago when she was nine years old.
She was active in women’s clubs, worked as a piano teacher in New York City in 1922, and in 1932 was living in Kansas City.
She died in Newport Beach, California, in 1977.
