Lampyris raymondi

Lampyris raymondi can reach an adult size of about 20 millimetres (0.79 in).

The males are winged, elytra are brown, with a yellow border on the elytral suture.

[3] The body of the larvae is composed by 12 bright black segments.

It can be easily distinguished from Lampyris noctiluca, that has just two spots on the first segment.

This species can be found in Bulgaria, Portugal, south-east of France (Provence, Alps), Greece, Italy (Maritime Alps, west of the Apennines[4]) and Spain, at an elevation up to 1,200 metres (3,900 ft).
