His comedy routines have earned him several awards including Scottish Comedian of the Year.

[10] His new show "Dodger" sees Dean open up about his grandmother having dementia and his recent autism diagnosis[11] Dean was voted the winner of the 2016 Amused Moose Comedy Award at the Edinburgh Festival by members of the comedy industry panel.
