Lawton S. Parker (7 April 1868 – 1954) was an American impressionist painter.
Born in Fairfield, Michigan,[1] raised in Kearney, Nebraska,[2] Parker studied at the Art Institute of Chicago beginning in 1886.
For a time, he was associated with the Giverny art colony and adopted an impressionist style.
[3] After returning to the United States, in 1892 he was appointed professor of the St. Louis School of Fine Arts.
[1] Parker was also the president of the Rodin Studios corporation, which developed an artists' cooperative housing of the same name in New York City.
