Leonardo Garet is a Uruguayan writer,[1] teacher, and member of the National Academy of Uruguay.
He was a teacher from 1972 to 2008, mostly in private high schools Colegio y Liceo Nuestra Señora del Carmen and [Colegio y Liceo Carlos Vaz Ferreira in Salto.
Also, he was Professor of Instituto de Estudios Superiores and Instituto de Filosofía Ciencias y Letras in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Garet is a poet, narrator, literary critic and cultural manager.
[2] Garet's stories and poems have been translated from Spanish to English, French, Portuguese, German, Italian, Dutch, Persian, Hindi, Bengali, Russian, Chinese, Guaraní and Norwegian.
