74: 449 (1987) Leucaena salvadorensis is a species of flowering plant in the family Fabaceae.

It is found in the tropical parts of El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua.

[2] It is found at an altitudes of 200–1,000 m (660–3,280 ft) above sea level.

[3] The wood of the tree is an excellent source of firewood because it is so dense and can be easily split and dried.
