Li Jiulong

Li Jiulong (Chinese: 李九龙; March 1929 – 19 November 2003) was a general (shangjiang) of the People's Liberation Army (PLA).

He enlisted in the Eighth Route Army in August 1945, and joined the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in December of that same year.

[1][2] During the Chinese Civil War, he served in the Northeast Field Army under Huang Yongsheng and Ding Sheng.

In June 1985, he was promoted to become commander of Jinan Military Region, a position he held until April 1990, when he was appointed deputy head of the People's Liberation Army General Logistics Department.

He became commander of Chengdu Military Region in September 1991, and served until October 1994.
