Li Qianyuan

Li Qianyuan (Chinese: 李乾元; pinyin: Lǐ Qiányuán; born 12 March 1942) is a general (shangjiang) of the People's Liberation Army (PLA).

[4] In 1959, he entered Zhengzhou Textile Machinery College (now Zhongyuan University of Technology), and joined the Communist Youth League of China in the same year.

[4] He enlisted in the People's Liberation Army (PLA) in July 1961, and joined the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in May 1963.

As a result of his distinguished service at the war, he was promoted to commander of the 1st Group Army, replacing Fu Quanyou.

In March 2008, he was appointed vice chairperson of the National People's Congress Agricultural and Rural Affairs Committee.
