Limestone is a census-designated place (CDP) comprising the main village within the town of Limestone in Aroostook County, Maine, United States.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 2.6 square miles (6.8 km2), all land.
[2] At the 2000 census,[6] there were 1,453 people, 420 households and 272 families residing in the CDP.
There were 495 housing units at an average density of 189.8 per square mile (73.3/km2).
31.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 11.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
