Linda Carter Brinson

Linda Sue Carter Brinson (born June 25, 1948) is an American writer, journalist, and editor.

She graduated from Madison-Mayodan High School in 1966 and went on to obtain a degree in journalism and English literature from Wake Forest University in 1969.

[6][7][8] In 1987 Carter obtained a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

[11][12] After working as a journalist in North Carolina, she moved to Maryland and became an assistant national editor at The Baltimore Sun.

[15][16][17] As a freelance writer, she has written for Our State and is a regular contributor to the editorial pages for the News & Record and The Virginian-Pilot.

[5][6][19] Brinson was an adjunct faculty member at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Hussman School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
