Major-General Lionel Frank Page, CB, DSO & Two Bars (17 December 1884 – 26 April 1944) was a Canadian Army officer who served in both world wars.
On the outbreak of the First World War, Page volunteered for overseas service and was part of the first contingent of the Canadian Expeditionary Force.
He led his battalion with great ability and determination in the attack and capture of a strongly held enemy position.
[5]During World War II he served as the first General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 4th Canadian Infantry Division, a post he held from June 1941 until December that year.
At the time of his death in April 1944, which was caused by a sudden illness while still in Canada, he was General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Atlantic Command.
