Lipová (Prostějov District)

Lipová is a municipality and village in Prostějov District in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic.

Lipová consists of three municipal parts (in brackets population according to the 2021 census):[2] The name is derived from lipový les, i.e. "linden forest".

Until 1960, Lipová, Hrochov and Seč were three separate municipalities.

[3] There are no railways or major roads passing through the municipality.

Among the protected cultural monuments in the municipality are the Chapel of Saint Lawrence from the beginning of the 19th century (together with a cross from 1843), located in Hrochov, and the Chapel of Saint Martin (formerly consecrated to St. Florian) from the second half of the 19th century, located in Seč.
