Lise Gauvin (born October 9, 1940) is a Canadian writer and literary critic from Quebec.
She was born in Quebec City and pursued literary studies at Université Laval and the University of Vienna.
[1] In 1984, she was elected president of the Association des éditeurs de périodiques culturels québécois.
In 1993, she was elected to the Ordre des francophones d'Amérique [fr] for her contributions to French language literature.
In 2000, she became a member of the Académie des lettres du Québec and the Royal Society of Canada.
