Celebrity Mastermind is a celebrity version of the British television quiz show Mastermind which is broadcast by BBC television.
As with the standard show, four celebrities answer questions on a chosen "specialist subject" for a specific amount of time (usually one and a half minutes) before answering questions on general knowledge but with an extended time limit (usually two minutes).
In contrast to the standard show each episode is treated as a single contest with the winner receiving a trophy, and the contestant's fees are donated to charity.
The celebrity version was first broadcast on 30 December 2002 as a one-off special to the usual Mastermind hosted by Magnus Magnusson.
