[1] [2] The global indicator framework for Sustainable Development Goals was developed by the Inter-Agency and Expert Group on SDG Indicators (IAEG-SDGs) and agreed upon at the 48th session of the United Nations Statistical Commission held in March 2017.
The official indicator list below includes all the refinements made as of March 2020[update].
[6] Earlier in 2016, as stated in the UN Sustainability Development, the Member States have decided that the report should be produced once every four years to inform the SDG review deliberations; reported from 15 experts who all have representing backgrounds.

Sustainable Development Goal indicators should be disaggregated, where relevant, by income, sex, age, race, ethnicity, migratory status, disability and geographic location, or other characteristics, in accordance with the Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics.
