Later in the series, Vaglass steals the BC-04's specs to develop the parasitic, destructive Type Delta (タイプδ, Taipu Deruta) model.

Thirteen years prior to the series, he, his wife Michiko, and their scientists sacrificed themselves to trap Messiah in Hyper Space and were digitized into him.
