Arcade Fire is a Canadian indie rock band from Montreal, Quebec.

The band was formed by the husband and wife duo of Win Butler and Régine Chassagne in 2003, and released its first studio album Funeral on Merge Records in September 2004.

Funeral earned the band a nomination at the 48th Annual Grammy Awards.
