List of countries and territories by number of land borders

This list gives the number of distinct land borders of each country or territory, as well as the neighbouring countries and territories.

[1] Countries or territories that are connected only by man-made structures such as bridges, causeways or tunnels are not considered to have land borders.

Distinct Land Borders: Refers to the number of separate geographic boundaries a country shares with its neighbors.

A single country may have multiple distinct land borders with the same neighbour (e.g., due to enclaves, exclaves, or disconnected regions).

These artificial land borders are usually less than 50 metres (160 ft) long.

Antarctica and countries in purple are those without any land border.
