World War I: The Duncan-class pre-dreadnought battleship was torpedoed and sunk in the Mediterranean Sea off Malta by SM U-32 ( Imperial German Navy) with the loss of fifteen of her 720 crew.

World War I: The aircraft carrying cruiser was shelled and sunk off Kastelorizo, Greece by Ottoman shore based artillery.

Ben-my-Chree was refloated in 1920 but found to be a total loss and was scrapped in 1923.

The St. Louis-class ran aground at Eureka, California.

Milwaukee broke in two in November 1918 and was a total loss.
