Liverton Mines

Liverton Mines is a village in the unitary authority of Redcar and Cleveland and the ceremonial county of North Yorkshire, England.

It is surrounded by large, local towns Middlesbrough, Redcar, Guisborough and Whitby.

The Cleveland Hills were once an important ironstone mining area, providing the iron ore for the steel industry in Middlesbrough.

There is a large wooded area and valley to the west of the village leading to Carlin How.

Much of the housing is simple terraced Victorian, although a large estate was erected following the Second World War.
