Llano (Spanish for "plain") is an unincorporated community located in Los Angeles County, California, United States, near the San Bernardino County line.
The socialist community moved and Llano del Rio was abandoned in 1918, leaving behind the "ghost" of an alternative future for Los Angeles.
[2] Llano is located about 25 miles (40 km) southeast of Palmdale in the Antelope Valley portion of Southern California.
It is a few miles from the San Gabriel Mountains Pearblossom Highway (as State Route 18), and Pearblossom Highway (as State Route 138) runs through the heart of Llano and is its 2 principal streets.
