Lloyd Nosler

Lloyd Leonard Nosler (March 13, 1901 – September 26, 1985) was an American film editor, director, and screenwriter who worked in Hollywood in from the 1910s through the 1950s.

[1][2] Lloyd was born in Riverton, Oregon, to Charles Nosler and Ida Belle Wright.

He later took on a job as an office boy at Universal Studios after his family relocated to Los Angeles.

The next year, after editing Cassiday of the Air Lanes, he became specifically renowned for cutting action films after catching the eye of Tom Mix.

[3] During World War II, however, he used his editing skills to cut more than 200 service films while serving as a briefing officer in the U.S. Air Force.
