Hannelore "Loki" Schmidt (née Glaser; 3 March 1919 – 21 October 2010)[1] was a German teacher and environmentalist.
In 1976, Loki Schmidt founded the Stiftung zum Schutze gefährdeter Pflanzen (engl.
: nature conservancy foundation Hamburg for the protection of endangered plants).
She was an honorary doctor of the Russian Academy of Science in St. Petersburg and the University of Hamburg.
[4] Loki and Helmut Schmidt married on 27 June 1942; they had a son (who died as an infant) and a daughter.
