Longjumeau

Longjumeau (French pronunciation: [lɔ̃ʒymo] ⓘ) is a commune in the Essonne department, France.

There were 18 students, with three each from Moscow and St Petersburg, with the rest coming from across the Russian Empire.

Other instructors included: Nikolai Semashko, David Riazanov, Charles Rappoport, Inessa Armand, Zdzisław Leder pl, and Anatoli Lunacharsky.

Schools include:[7] Longjumeau is the setting for the opera-comique Le postillon de Lonjumeau by Adolphe Adam where it is presented as an early 19th-century rural community.

Performances followed in London at the St. James Theatre on 13 March 1837, and in New Orleans at the Théâtre d'Orléans on 19 April 1838.
