The Los Angeles LGBT Center (previously known as the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center) is a provider of programs and services for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.

The organization's work spans four categories, including health, social services, housing, and leadership and advocacy.

[6][7] Originally called The Gay Community Services Center, the original center was located in an old Victorian house on Wilshire Boulevard and was the first nonprofit organization in America to have the word "gay" in its name.

[3] On October 2, 2010, the center became the recipient of a $13.3 million, five-year grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families in order to create a model program for LGBTQ youth in foster care.

These include youth, senior, transgender, survivor, medical, legal and housing services.
