Louise Robert (born 1941)[1] is a Canadian painter who uses writing in her work.
[3] Robert incorporates writing into many of her works, a process she continues to explore.
[3] Critics say her work shows the influence of surrealistic automatic writing.
In 2020, her exhibition titled Louise Robert: Painting and Poetry was held at the Musée d'art de Joliette.
[3] Her work is included in many group shows and private and public collections, including those of the National Gallery of Canada,[6] the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal, the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, the Musée d'art contemporain de Baie-Saint-Paul and the Musée d'art de Joliette.
