Lovatens (French pronunciation: [lɔvatɑ̃]) is a municipality in the district Broye-Vully in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland.
[3] Lovatens has an area, as of 2009[update], of 3.47 square kilometers (1.34 sq mi).
The blazon of the municipal coat of arms is Per bend Argent and Gules, overall a Minerva's head Or.
[9] Most of the population (as of 2000[update]) speaks French (140 or 92.7%), with German being second most common (7 or 4.6%) and English being third (3 or 2.0%).
[8] The age distribution, as of 2009[update], in Lovatens is; 17 children or 11.9% of the population are between 0 and 9 years old and 18 teenagers or 12.6% are between 10 and 19.

In the federal election, a total of 55 votes were cast, and the voter turnout was 49.1%.

The number of jobs in the tertiary sector was 4, all in the sale or repair of motor vehicles.

In the Vaud cantonal school system, two years of non-obligatory pre-school are provided by the political districts.
