Love, Mississippi

Love is approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) south of Hernando along U.S. Route 51 or I-55.

[3] "Love's Station" was a stop on the Illinois Central Railroad, built in the 1850s between Memphis, Tennessee and Grenada.

The community today is largely agricultural, with some homes located along nearby roads.

The Love Volunteer Fire Department is responsible for protecting a 40 sq mi (100 km2) portion of southwest Desoto County.
