Lowell Township, Michigan

[3] The city of Lowell is bordered on the north, but the two are administered autonomously.

The Grand River flows through the northern portion of the township.

Lowell Township is served almost entirely by Lowell Area Schools, although a very small portion of the southwest corner of the township is served by Caledonia Community Schools.

[5] As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 5,219 people, 1,726 households, and 1,410 families residing in the township.

14.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 4.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
