Lužec nad Vltavou

Lužec nad Vltavou is a municipality and village in Mělník District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.

Lužec nad Vltavou consists of two municipal parts (in brackets population according to the 2021 census):[2] The name Lužec is a diminutive of the Czech word luh (i.e. 'riparian forest').

It lies in a flat agricultural landscape in the Central Elbe Table.

In 1890 and 2002, Lužec nad Vltavou was badly damaged by floods.

The main landmark of Lužec nad Vltavou is the Church of Saint Giles.
