Lucas A. Powe Jr. is an American lawyer who serves as the Anne Green Regents Chair in Law at University of Texas at Austin.
Powe Sr. attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he ran the mile in track, and in 1941 was graduated from Boalt Hall School of Law.
After two years teaching at the University of British Columbia he was selected as Law Clerk to Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas for the 1970 Term.
