Luchina Fisher

Luchina Fisher (born December 19, 1966)[1][2] is an American journalist, Emmy Award-winning film[3] [4]director, writer and producer.

[1] She began her career as a journalist writing for the Miami Herald and People magazine.

[1] In 2023 she won the top prize of $150,000 from PitchBLACK Forum for her pitch for her new documentary Hiding in Plain Sight.

The work is intended to highlights Black-queer representation in music.

Some of the persons covered in the documentary are Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Little Richard, Sylvester and Jackie Shane.
