Luis Anacleto Castillo Goñi

Luis Anacleto Castillo Goñi (1844-1928) was a Chilean vice admiral who was a participant of the War of the Pacific.

[1] During his first years in the Chilean Navy, he participated in various hydrographic commissions in the southern region of Chile.

[1] Now a frigate captain, on May 7, 1881, he was appointed director of the Naval School, a position he held until March 20, 1885.

In 1887, he was part of the mission that supervised the construction of ships and the repairs of the Almirante Cochrane in the English shipyards.

[1] At the end of the Chilean Civil War of 1891, Rear Admiral Castillo was appointed Undersecretary of the Navy.
