[5][6][7][8] As a Junior, Whitehouse represented Team GB at the 2019 European Youth Olympic Festival in Baku, Azerbaijan.

In June 2021 at the FIG World Challenge Cup, Osijek, Croatia in qualifying for the Floor final he became the first British gymnast to complete a triple back somersault in competition.

In April 2024 at the gymnastics world cup in Doha Luke took the silver medal [17] followed by retaining his floor European champion status a week later winning gold for a second year in a row after Max Whitlock dropping out of the competition last minute due to injury allowing Luke to defend his title, becoming the first male GBR gymnast to retain a European title.

[18] In June 2024 Whitehouse was selected to represent Great Britain at the 2024 Summer Olympics alongside Jake Jarman, Harry Hepworth, Joe Fraser, and Max Whitlock.

Whitehouse individually qualified for Olympic Floor Final, finishing in 6th place with a score of 14.566.
