Lycurgus Rayner Varser (August 13, 1878 – October 19, 1959)[1] was an associate justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court, serving for nine months in 1925.
[2] Varser was born in Gates County, North Carolina, and attended Reynoldson Academy.
[6] He became president of the North Carolina Bar Association in 1922, serving in that capacity until 1923.
Governor Angus McLean appointed Vargas, his former partner,[8] on March 16, 1925 to fill the vacancy.
[2] Varser died in his sleep at his home in Charlotte, North Carolina, with no preceding illness.
