Lyndhurst F.C.

was an English association football club from Camberwell in south London, and was the first opponent of Arsenal in the FA Cup.

The club's first tournament of note was the London Senior Cup, entering from 1883 to 1889 and reaching the third round (last 16) in 1885–86.

[1] The club had some success in the Surrey Senior Cup, reaching the quarter-finals in 1886–87[2] and winning the competition in 1887–88, in unusual circumstances.

[5] In the third round the club won at Dorking 3–0, before a "shockingly poor crowd",[6] and was due to return to Dorking's Pixham Lane ground for the semi-final against Reigate Priory, who had reached the final of every Cup tournament to date.

[12] The club reached the final again the following year, playing Guy's Hospital, and the game again ending 1–1 after 90 minutes.
