Maarten de Rijke

Maarten de Rijke (born 1 August 1961) is a Dutch computer scientist.

His work is supported by grants from the Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (NWO), public-private partnerships, and the European Commission (under the Sixth and Seventh Framework programmes).

De Rijke was elected a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2017.

[8] During the first ten years of his scientific career Maarten de Rijke worked on formal and applied aspects of modal logic.

He has since worked on XML retrieval, question answering, expert finding and social media analysis.
