Mac Sumner

Macon Ernest "Mac" Sumner Jr. (March 27, 1940 – May 7, 2007)[1][2] was an American politician who served in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2005 until 2006.

Sumner was born in Sedalia, Missouri in 1940 and moved to Oregon at the age of seven.

Sumner won in the crowded Republican primary and was elected, defeating Democrat Jim Gilbert.

[3][4] He was reelected in 2006, easily winning the primary and then the general election, once again defeating Gilbert.

[7][8] He was succeeded by Vic Gilliam, a part-time actor, educator, and political aide.
