McFarlane Alexander "Mac" Herewini (20 October 1939 – 21 May 2014) was a New Zealand rugby union player.
A first five-eighth and fullback, Herewini represented Auckland at a provincial level, and was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, from 1962 to 1967.
He was part of the New Zealand team to tour Britain France and Canada in 1967 but lost his place in the test side to Earle Kirton.
[2] Some say that he was unsuited to the open running style of play favoured by All Blacks coach Fred Allen.
