Madeline, California

Madeline is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Lassen County, California.

[2] It is located 45 miles (72 km) north-northeast of Susanville,[3] at an elevation of 5325 feet (1623 m).

Madeline was formerly a stop on the now-abandoned Nevada-California-Oregon Railway, later taken over by the Southern Pacific Railroad.

This region experiences warm (but not hot) and dry summers, with no average monthly temperatures above 71.6 °F.
