Manan Trivedi (born May 22, 1974) is an American physician, politician, Iraq War veteran and perennial candidate.
[3] He went to Boston University for college and medical school, completing a master's degree in Public Policy at UCLA.
[4] During the Iraq War, Trivedi served as a battalion surgeon with the United States Marine Corps as a navy officer.
[6] In the May 18, 2010 primary election, Trivedi defeated journalist Doug Pike and Lower Merion Commissioner Brian Gordon by 672 votes.
[9] Trivedi announced his candidacy on February 10,[10] and won the Democratic nomination for Pennsylvania's 6th congressional district for a third time in on May 20.
