Green mantella

The commercial trade in these species requires tight regulation in order not to threaten it.

Its face is black with a white band around the top lip.

They are critically endangered because of the loss of habitat and over-collection for pet trade.

Green mantella live in extreme northern Madagascar and thrive in dry lowland forest at elevations between 50 and 300 meters above sea level.

Green mantella require water, as most frogs do, but do not get it by drinking.
