[2] Manx Utilities has two subsidiary businesses on commercial telecommunications and subsea cable management.

Manx Utilities Authority is responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity on the island.

It also exports electricity to the British National Grid as required through the Isle of Man to England Interconnector.
