Marcin Giżycki (26 September 1951 – 21 October 2022) was a Polish film and art historian, critic, and filmmaker.

[6] Giżycki received his MA and Ph.D. in art history from the University of Warsaw in 1976 and 1995 respectively.

He received his postdoctoral degree in film studies from the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland, in 2006.

In 1983 he taught at the Surrey Institute of Art & Design, University College in Farnham, England (formerly known as West Surrey College of Art and Design in Farnham).

He was vice-president of the College of the Visual Arts and New Media in Warsaw, Poland (2002–2003).
