Margaret Moscheles

Margaret "Grete" Moscheles (née Margarethe Sobernheim; 1854–1924)[1][2] was a British painter.

She was born as Margarethe Sobernheim in 1854 in Berlin, Kingdom of Prussia.

[3] In 1875, she married painter Felix Moscheles in Germany, with whom she studied painting with.

[1][4] Margaret and her husband spent the winter of 1893 in traveling in North Africa, which inspired a body of artwork.

[5] In 1908, she had a group exhibition at the London Salon of the Allied Artists' Association in Royal Albert Hall.
